Dear All

I am fairly new in the OCS 2007 r2.

I would like to implement a sollution where I would designate one incoming number from PSTN wher some sort of attendant woul answer like: Hello, you have called mycompany company, please enter the extension number.

After entering extension over DTMF the call should be transfered to the right person.

Is there any possibility within OCS setup to achieve this kind of funkcionallity?

Thank you in advance
Bert

Bert,

I believe Response Group Service is your friend here.  You can use the Response Group Service application to create a general number, and present the caller with a menu, so the call can be routed to the wanted recipient...

Hi Ilse

Thank you for your response, I have just came back from annual vacation, where I had no option to reply. :)

Do you have any short guidelines how to do that?
I would really appreciate that.

Thank you again

Bert,

if you have 20 minutes, I would suggest you have a look at the following chopstick about the Response Group Service feature!

Thank you again.

I was aware of RGS, but it does not resolve my problem, since the power of RGS is very limited.

I have about 500 users and each one with his/hers own extension number (also written in AD).

RGS does not have a template where I would be able to redirect call for all extensions to the right person.

Regards
Bert

Maybe the Exchange Auto Attendant is more suite to handle these kind of requests.

You can configure it to contact someone from the directory by name or by extension!
